She said YES❤️❤️

As u know in my last blog I talked about meeting a girl so we can get to know each other and discuss about our future. So, i was in the restaurant waiting for her and In that moment I literally had thousands thoughts regarding her walking, dressing, talking and behaviour. I was nervous and had no idea what to discuss but when she came and i looked at her something happens. I do not believe in magic but that was a magical moment. I will not go into detail about what we talk but i will share my feelings. I liked the way she was talking, the she was laughing and I just wanted to listen to her whole night. She was humble, genuine, attractive, charming, loving, caring and many many other qualities. I am not saying because she will read my blog 😳😳 but i am genuinely saying. I had a smile all the way toward home and i was listening romantic songs😂. When my parents ask about my answer i said yes and i somehow hoping that she would say yes too. So next day her father came to meet my parents and her answer was YES. I had some mixed types of feelings at that time. I was nervous because thinking about new phase of life, new responsibilities but at the same i was happy thinking finally there is someone i can share my feelings, finally someone to whom i can care, finally someone to whom i can look and proudly say that she is mine, finally someone who will part of my good or bad times and finally to whom i wanted to spend rest of my life❤️. She is very special and i just pray to God for His blessings and everything goes smoothly and well for us. I just found out the word “Me” has been replace with “US” and I am loving this❤️

A Blind Date

Hi guys… its been a long time since i wrote my last blog. Remember in my every blog i used to talk about waiting for the right person to enter in my life. Finally after 6 months of waiting I finally got a proposal… yesssssss… and its from a girl just to be clear 😂…. Basically, thanks to my parents that this is happening. Actually i guess they thought that I cant find a girl or no girl will say yes to him😭 and he is getting older so its time for us step up and find a girl for him. It took six months for them to find a girl and i can understand the reason😭. So basically its arrange marriage but i guess marriage is not a right word because there are many hurdle before that. I have to meet a girl and i have to TALK. Thats the most difficult thing to do. I cannot talk and I make jokes when i am uncomfortable and i guess thats the reason my first impression is not good☹️☹️. Its a blind date and my technically my first date. I am nervous and i have no idea what i have to do. I dont want to scare her on our first meeting. Its like a exam in which i have no idea that what i have to study :😂.. i only know the subject but I have no material to read. This exam is more tougher than Masters exam. I am not hoping for any distinction. I just want to pass the exam. Kindly give your valuable suggestions and please pray for me.

Friend like Family

Its been long since my last blog. I missed you guys. Thank you so much for your valuable comments and suggestions. So, This time I thought to write about someone who has become the most important person in my life. I am not talking about my love life but one day I will hopefully🤣. Sorry for the distraction, I was lost, but I am talking about my best friend.
It is an interesting story. It was my first day at Glasgow Caledonian University, I went to class and saw around 10 students were sitting. I was thinking where to sit and suddenly I saw a  person with 6.8 in height with brown eyes, black hair, and dark skin tone sitting at the back. And on the other side, beautiful girl was sitting, so instead of sitting with her, I decided to sit with him. Seriously, I do not know why😡😡. I went there and we had a formal hello. I was thinking to avoid him but at the same time, he asked where are you from and what program you are studying? I thought for a second that why is he talking? I replied to him and asked him the same question. I was just hoping he would be studying different program but unfortunately, he was studying the same program. I was like, oh my god, I have to study with him for a whole year. Time passes, and the person who I hated for no reason, to be honest, become my best friend. Funny right. One of my best friends to whom I can talk any bullshit knowing he will not judge me. I  can share all my secrets not only about my crushes but everything happening in my life 😊😊. Seriously, I am the most annoying person but I don’t know how he handles me. During exams time, I called him at 2 am to discuss the exam and to my surprise, he was not angry. Instead, he replied that he knew that I would call him at that time so he was prepared for that. If I would have called my brother at the same  time, he would have abused me and hang up the phone on me😂. He has helped me and guided me throughout my academics and I have no idea how would I survive without him. He is different but, you have never seen him when his eyes turn red. Man, honestly you do not want to see that. He looks so furious that he could kill anyone just with that look. At that moment, I just don’t talk to him and just pray for myself🤣🤣.
He is one of the important people in my life and I wanted to continue our friendship forever. His name is Marino from Ghana. I am amazed that the two-person from different cultures and backgrounds can be very good friends, in fact, BEST FRIENDS #GlabalCitizen.

The Doomsday Conspiracy

So no one told you life gonna be this way” clap, clap. A perfect way to describe today’s situation. I am sure this quarantine time has made most of us to identify our hidden talent. Someone learns to become a chef, someone playing piano and someone like me can stare at walls for consecutive 3 hours without blinking or ball catching with my brother for hours without dropping it. Just kidding, I started reading. I have always been a fan of suspense/thriller movies with a bizarre beginning, shocking twist at every 20 minutes and with an epic climax that blows your mind and that stays with you for days. My brother suggested me to read The Doomsday Conspiracy by Sidney Sheldon. Don’t worry, I will just explain the plot of the novel so you might find it interesting, which you will. First, the author was one of the best in terms of suspense category. He had so great sense of building a character that at one stage we started believing in them as real and when someone figured out the suspense, bam!!! New twist in a tale. He had the capability to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, heart-pounding, blood racing throughout the ending. Now, coming back to the novel, The Doomsday Conspiracy,  it is the most intriguing and exemplary piece of work. US Naval Intelligence Commander Robert Bellamy was assigned to locate the 10 people on a Swiss bus who saw the crash of a “weather balloon” carrying sensitive military information. During his search, he realized that truth is far more terrifying and his life is in danger too. And the part he was told about the balloon is only one part of an almost unbelievable happening. From Washington to Paris, Zurich, and Rome, the story disclosed about the Robert Bellamy past- his love life and why his all friends had become his deadly enemies.

This was the first time I read a novel and finished it within 4 days. You must be thinking might be it is so boring so I just flipped the pages to the end but trust me, I was so hooked and each chapter ends with a cliffhanger, wanting me to read more, just one more. It’s ending completely blow my mind and it stays with me for days. I read the book again to understand it. It is highly recommended for everyone. In case you are still wondering the above lines, it is from the famous sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S, most popular show of the decade. Again highly recommended watching. You can thank me later.

Stay home and stay safe!!!

PDP VERSION 2.0

In my previous blog, I talked about PDP session 1 in week 6 and how I was eagerly waiting for PDP session 2 in week 10.  Honestly, due to you know what, again one who cannot be named, I have lost all my interest in doing anything right now and just wanted to live my life peacefully. Regardless, we had a session as it was planned but with different circumstances.  In term of crises, the one thing that has been with us throughout is technology and we should all be thankful to it.
We had an online class organised by our module leader, Frances. I never had an online class before so this was something new that I experienced and frankly speaking it was not that bad. I have no idea what other perspectives but for me it was a chance to see my friends after a long time . I miss them more than anything right  now and i have realized now that they are my family and I really hope to meet soon. I wanted to give them a hug but I was reminded it was a video calling so I just gave them a flying kiss.  We started with welcoming everyone and then Frances spoke about how we all coping and making an effort in these difficult times. Without any further delay, we were organised in to six groups with four students in one group. I do not know why I am always part of a group where there are only girls.  Honestly I loved that😂. This time I was more confident than the previous session because I had started interacting with everyone  so I was more relaxed.  But again,  it was awkward at start because firstly, we were having some technical issues such as audio problems or someone has connectivity issues. Secondly, it was difficult to started a conversation as it was a first time for everyone having online class.  After greetings, and talking about current situation, we started our session. We discussed about out first PDP experienced.  For me it  was engaging, I came to know more about my group members and learned something from them especially from Bhagayshre that how she managed  her time as she has to study and work at same time. My  communication skills has become better as I started interacting more with my friends and this automatically  boost my confidence level.  Everyone in group has a similar answer. Next question was really interesting and it asked what you are aiming to achieve in the next 2-5 years? Someone answered to go back to their country and find a job. My answer was obviously first to get married and have 2 children( one boy and one girl) and i have even thought about their names😂.  Other aim was to do PhD in pharmacology.  After then, Frances not only discussed our problems that we were having but she also assured us to help and guide us. Hats of to her, the way she managed the whole session and somehow brought us closer so we can meet each other and share our feelings that we are going through.  So, in the end it turned out to be a great session regardless the technical problem that we faced.
Again , Stay home and Stay safe!!!.

YOU HAVE IT IN YOU!!! JUST BELIEVE.

So far, this year has been a roller coaster ride for us. January started with Australian bush fire , then in February world was preparing for world war 3 and now in March we are suffering from you know it and it must not be named. So if zombies come in next month I will not be surprised though😂.  At first, I liked the idea of lock down and social distancing but now after watching every single content on Netflix and talking to every wall of my house, I am bored now.  I decided to write something. But problem is due to lock down my mind has become completely blank and there is nothing inspiring.  So I just started looking old pictures on my mobile to see how beautiful the world was before you know it cannot be named. While looking, i came across this above picture.  I participated in a debate competence in my university .  Before I started bragging about winning the debate competition , which I will, first, I would liked to point out that I  have stammering problem since childhood so  during my school time  I did not participated in any debate competition due to lack of confidence.  I always wanted to be a part of but my fear overshadowed my confidence level. And that thing really hurts because you know you have the capability but somehow you are afraid of yourself and you started to judge yourself that will I  have enough confidence to deliver  in front of large crowd. So, this was a another opportunity for me to overcome my fear. But it was not easy.  My mind was playing with me and adding negative thoughts. But this time my family was there for me. Sometimes you need a push button that motivates you to go and make it possible. I used to practice a lot in front of mirror. My sister advised me one important thing is that on stage just think that you are the only audience who is watching and listening and just be calm. I believe these small talks help you and brings your best form.  On stage no matter how much positive you are, there is always a crowd pressure. I wanted to run but this time my inner voice helped me and gave me enough confidence to give my best shot. To be honest, I didn’t stammer throughout my speech. I realized it is lack of confidence and fear that makes you stammer. And once you overcome them then there is no one to stop you. From that day I didn’t look back. Even in GCU, i have enough confidence to participate in a class or take part in discussion.  Being confidence is also one of common good attribute.

Last thing, be safe and keep others safe!!!

Corona- Is This A Time To Panic??

From last two weeks, i have just heard ONE word and that is CORONA CORONA AND CORONA. I mean seriously, I have not heard my name that much in my life as much as I have heard about Corona. Lets just skip the introduction because right now everyone has their own version about COVID-19.
If you asked me 2 months back about it, I probably would have said its nothing to worry about . But now the situation has become worse and far from control.

Everyone is confused, anxious and helpless and have no idea as to how this reality was imposed on them and when this whole nightmare will end. Like everyone, I am also scared right now. I am living alone so I am having all sorts the negative thoughts. My mind is so disturbed right now that every-time I sneezed or cough, I just start googling the symptoms of the virus. And Besides , the schools, universities, restaurants, shopping malls and cinemas are all closed which further increases the tension. Right now, It feels like a hostage situation.

But even in this worse condition, we are targeting others to justify the misery in society. Yesterday My friend told me he was crossing the street, suddenly an old lady started shouting at him saying it is because of them the virus has spread and they need to go back to their country. I can imagine right now everyone is freaking out but is this a time to panic? Is this a proper way to deal the situation?

One thing we should learn from the corona virus that instead of blaming others or pointing fingers toward others , this is the time we need to support, care and help each other and try to work together as a team and find a permanent solution for humanity because if we don’t learn from this , it will just be the beginning!!!

And during isolation, we should take a moment and think about our lives and where it is heading towards? We always had a big plans for tomorrow but now we cannot even think about it . We need to focus and think to redefine the purpose of life.

So stay safe and keep others safe!!!

Bringing Smiles In Other’s Life

I just finished watching a movie with my pals and it got me thinking of how doing something good for people is an inexplicable act of kindness. It helps them and in most cases ease their pain. This notion has changed my perspective and attitude toward others. I remember my mother always discussing the countless blessings and peace that one can receive while engaged in charity work. She also encouraged me to be a part of such work. Heeding to her advice during my Bachelor’s degree, I joined a welfare society called Isra Welfare Society in Pakistan. The sole purpose of this society is to help the underprivileged ones in the society. I was a member of their organizing committee. My job was to make a team and work with them to organize charity events. Our first event was the “collection drive” where we collected money, clothes, books, and food stuff to support orphan children. We centred on education, health care, and financial. After a week, we went to an orphanage school. Trust me, those children were eagerly waiting for us, and they were excited to see us. They were smiling all the time. We distributed alms among them. I had never seen anyone that happy in my life and I was proud to be a part of it. Their happiness was beyond words. I realized at that point God has been so kind to us and blessed us with the best, but instead of thanking or praising Him, our greed takes over. On the other hand, there were these children who were happy and content with what little they had. That day I understood the meaning of true happiness, and it was one of the best days of my life. That moment taught me the biggest lesson of my life that I should always thank God for His countless blessings. I also realize it is not necessary to be part of any welfare society to help others, it can also be done individually by anyone willing to help others. It is not about how much you are giving, but it is about the intentions behind it.

Forward to Glasgow, I found that there are homeless people on the street, so I contemplated on what to do to bring a smile on their faces. Whenever I had time, I would buy fruits for them and would distribute among them. I also joined the Caledonian Islamic Student’s Association SOCIETY in GCU and took part in their charity week.  We collected money to help people in different part of the world. It felt great. I hope to continue such work in the future. All these have helped me develop the common good attribute of confidence, global citizenship and responsible leadership.

To everyone reading this, we should take part in fundraising events and donate as much we can because it can save someone’s life or can make someone’s easier. You will be rewarded even more than you think. It is always the act that counts.

Personal Development Planning

During the start of second trimester, we had our first skill lecture, our module leader, Frances announced that there will be PDP session in week 6. At first, I thought what is a PDP and why I need to attend? Then she told us it is Personal Development Planning session in which we all be allocated in random group to discuss about the Common Good attributes and how we are contributing to it. I was so sure for not attending it, but she said it was mandatory to attend unless you have a valid reason. Honestly, I began to think that what could be the valid reason? I thought for a week then I just gave up.

So, in week 6, we all gathered for PDP session. We were divided into small groups. Before going further, I knew each of them during the time of induction week where we all had a chance to meet other international students and get to know them, their culture and traditions. This is what Common Good Attributes (CGA) stand for, Active and Global Citizenship. But this was the first time, I had an opportunity to know them more personally.

First, we had no idea how to begin the conversation, so we started by briefly introducing our self. After introduction, we further continue our conversation by asking most enjoyable time during the time in Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) to which everyone answer unanimously to make new friends and to travel. Slowly and gradually, we began to feel comfortable in discussing about experiences in GCU. We further discussed about the most important CGA and how we are developing them. For me, it was responsible leadership because during my undergraduate degree, I was the member of the organizing committee of the welfare society. My job was to make sure that we all work as a team and make this society better by organizing charity events . This is another great experience in my life for which you must come back to read my next blog. So in GCU, I became member of cisa and I actively participated in their welfare work to help someone to make their life easier.

Moving forward, there was another question about our achievements that are important to us. Everyone shared their stories, but the best answer was given by a girl in our group. She told us about hardship and financial problems she faced while applying for GCU. She waited for one year and she constantly applied for scholarships and luckily, she got the Saltire Scholarship. While in Glasgow, she is doing part time job to support her studies as well studying her Masters. It is difficult for her to manage time and very stressful but however, she is dealing with it. I was completely inspired by her story. I realized that everyone is fighting their battle and yet smiling in front of others and the most important part of this session was that I learnt something from everyone in my group for e.g. how to manage time, how to be more confident, how to be independent and how to be responsible leader. It turned out to be a great session and I will attend next session with more preparation and with more enthusiasm. Can’t wait!!!

An Important Decision Of My Life

Life is all about making decisions. Some are very easy like; what you will wear today, what you will have for lunch, or where you will go out. But some decisions are life-changing, and you are not sure whether you are making the right one or wrong one. One such decision I made was that after graduation, I applied for MSc pharmacology in GCU and got the admission.

Coming to Glasgow for the study was the toughest decision for me. I have always lived with my family, and I have always traveled with them, so to leave them was not an easy choice for me. But my family supported me throughout the process, and in September, I was in Glasgow.

I clearly remembered my first day at University. There were so many questions on my mind, that whether I made the right decision or not, or should I had looked for other universities before applying. Another question that got my attention was how my life would be without my family for this whole year. I was nervous because it was a big opportunity for me. It was also a big risk for me, but I was willing to take it. This is also a part of Entrepreneurial Mind-set which is a Common Good attribute which mean to grab opportunities and to take risks in life for better outcome.

After six months, when I looked back on my first day, I see myself as a confused and unconfident individual, but now everything is different. Today, I am more confident, joyous, and working hard to achieve my desire outcome. It was only possible because of academic staff and my friends who constantly supported and helped me throughout my journey and made it easy  for me.

Lastly, I realized that I made the right decision coming to GLASGOW CALEDONIAN UNIVERSITY.
