So no one told you life gonna be this way” clap, clap. A perfect way to describe today’s situation. I am sure this quarantine time has made most of us to identify our hidden talent. Someone learns to become a chef, someone playing piano and someone like me can stare at walls for consecutive 3 hours without blinking or ball catching with my brother for hours without dropping it. Just kidding, I started reading. I have always been a fan of suspense/thriller movies with a bizarre beginning, shocking twist at every 20 minutes and with an epic climax that blows your mind and that stays with you for days. My brother suggested me to read The Doomsday Conspiracy by Sidney Sheldon. Don’t worry, I will just explain the plot of the novel so you might find it interesting, which you will. First, the author was one of the best in terms of suspense category. He had so great sense of building a character that at one stage we started believing in them as real and when someone figured out the suspense, bam!!! New twist in a tale. He had the capability to keep the audience on the edge of their seats, heart-pounding, blood racing throughout the ending. Now, coming back to the novel, The Doomsday Conspiracy, it is the most intriguing and exemplary piece of work. US Naval Intelligence Commander Robert Bellamy was assigned to locate the 10 people on a Swiss bus who saw the crash of a “weather balloon” carrying sensitive military information. During his search, he realized that truth is far more terrifying and his life is in danger too. And the part he was told about the balloon is only one part of an almost unbelievable happening. From Washington to Paris, Zurich, and Rome, the story disclosed about the Robert Bellamy past- his love life and why his all friends had become his deadly enemies.
This was the first time I read a novel and finished it within 4 days. You must be thinking might be it is so boring so I just flipped the pages to the end but trust me, I was so hooked and each chapter ends with a cliffhanger, wanting me to read more, just one more. It’s ending completely blow my mind and it stays with me for days. I read the book again to understand it. It is highly recommended for everyone. In case you are still wondering the above lines, it is from the famous sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S, most popular show of the decade. Again highly recommended watching. You can thank me later.
Stay home and stay safe!!!
